Kailer stood silently before the rage-filled man before him.

Seeing Kailer look at him with deadpan eyes, the man became more angry. "You! Do you want me to terminate the order?"

Finally, Kailer began to show some response. When one becomes a demon hunter, they throw away everything they possess, dedicating their lives to only killing. So they can only earn money by doing missions. Right now, the man before him was threatening to kick his livelihood.

But he quickly calmed down and said it with a mocking smirk on his face. "When did dogs get to meddle with their master's decision?"

"YOU!?" Instantly, Kailer ticked off the one he was already arguing with and along with two more.

It was true that the man before them was bluffing, as they had no saying before their seniors. They could only agree with their orders, having their heads lowered.

"Okay, stop it." Eventually, the man who was always calm the entire time stood forward and warned both sides, especially giving an extra glance to Kailer. He was Clive, the leader of this group.

"But-"

"I don't want to hear anything, Kai." Clive once again stopped the one who was arguing with Kailer, and this man was none other than Kai. Clive rested his gaze on Kailer and asked. "What did you find out? I suggest you do not leave a single clue."

Kailer stood silent for a second before blurting out everything. But he hid the fact about Ragnar; instead, he told them he clashed against the demon lord. For personal reasons, he hid this fact. and for why? We will find out in the future.

Clive went silent after hearing everything Kailer had to say. 'From everything he said… I can deduce that this mission is still relatively easy. This mission would have already finished if Kailer hadn't had to face the demon lord, but now if we all attacked together, then it would be a piece of cake. The main issue now is finding their hideout.'

While Clive was pondering to himself, Kai spoke to Haitam. "General, you can take your leave. Now it is not something you can meddle in."

However, Haitam didn't listen to him. He calmly said to Kai. "This involves the safety of the city. I can't leave until the crux of the issue is rooted out."

"You…" Kai's face darkened as he felt today was the worst day of his life. This was the first time he was being looked at with indifference by others. He didn't mind if those high lords did, but from these unknown people? He couldn't bear it.

Kailer, who was watching by the side, suddenly had a big smile on his face. "Ehh… are Paladin Warriors getting mad at civilians? Especially related to people protecting humanity?"

At that moment, vital energy surged out of Kai's body, ready to pound on Kailer.

"Come, we demon hunters have the policy that we can kill anyone who targets us. I don't mind killing a Paladin Warrior today." Kailer felt his boil as he couldn't wait to smash Kai into mud.

"HALT!"  Clive's voice resounded throughout the empty meadow. He glared at Kai and Kailer, warning them with a hoarse voice. "I do not want any discord until the end of this mission."

Both of them calmed down after Clive's warning. Clive nodded his head, seeing that, and headed towards the city. "Let's leave now."

Kailer was also about to follow them behind when suddenly Haitam sparked a conversation. "Thank you, sir."

Kailer nonchalantly waved his hand and said. "It's fine. You are Ana's people, so don't worry about it."

Haitam's eyes widened in deep shock; he didn't expect the princess's name to come out like this.

Kailer noticed the shock in Haitam's eyes and said with confusion. "Huh? It seems like she didn't tell you. Well, let me tell you then. Your princess's Ana has joined the Demon Hunter Association and is a Rank-Red demon hunter like me."

"Sir, then do you know her?" Haitam said it with anticipation. He felt the princess had sent this man to help them get rid of any potential trouble.

"Uhhh…" Kailer pondered for a bit before answering. "I don't know her entirely, as she has joined recently, and we just talked once or twice, but we demon hunters see each other as comrades to death. So, in a sense, you can say I know her."

Haitam's face bloomed with happiness as his heart filled with ecstasy. He didn't know what demon hunters were but from what he could see, they were a force that even the top forces were afraid of. 'Maybe, the princess can truly avenge the lord.'

Kailer didn't wait for Haitam; he went forward on his own. In his mind, there was only one thing revolving. 'I want to know more about this demon group.'

Meanwhile, deep into the forest.

Ragnar streaked from one tree branch to another. Looking back, he contemplated. 'It looks like he didn't chase me or send anyone. Is he confident that he can find us or he just doesn't take us seriously? No matter what, I have to notify the lord about it.'

As he jumped through the crowns of trees, several dark silhouettes flashed before his eyes. At first he was cautious, but when he came to know who they were, he became extremely surprised. "Why are you all still here?"

These were none other than Belal, Fiain, Gardenia, and Nil's entire group.

Ragnar couldn't help but get shocked because they had left him much earlier and were still here, waiting for a reason. This made him worry if something had happened that stopped them in their tracks.

A smile appeared on Belal's face when he heard Ragnar's shout. He waved his hand at Ragnar and said. "Brother Ragnar! We were waiting for you."

As soon as Ragnar arrived before them, he heard Belal's words, which stumped him. It seems he was wrong. From Belal's big smile, it indicated there was nothing wrong here. Instead, they were waiting for him.

Standing before Belal, Ragnar asked with a deep gaze. "You all… who told you guys to wait for me? Is it because you guys don't believe in my strength?"

"Hahaha… it's not that we don't believe in your strength. It's just… we were worried some accident might happen, like you might get besieged by a dozen or so men from all around suddenly. So, we camped not far away, so as not to be late to help you when something like this happens." Belal laughed, while being a bit embarrassed as usual.

"You guys…" Ragnar became speechless, glancing at everyone. When he stopped at Fiain, he heard the latter say. "Next time, it will be me who takes down the enemy."

Ragnar laughed to himself while having a rare sense of warmth in his heart. Tossing these emotions away, he said to everyone. "Let's talk about these later. We should leave now; we don't know if they might come anytime."

Everyone nodded their heads and followed behind Ragnar.

Meanwhile, thousands of kilometers away from Migotanie City.

Two figures, hiding their appearance in black cloaks, shuttled through a small canyon. Because of the lush green trees growing everywhere, it was difficult to see what was up, while also making it hard for light to peek through the leaves. Fortunately, the trees were sparse, so there were some spots filled with light.

"How long do we have to?" From the tone, one could guess it was a young teenager. He asked his partner, the one beside him. But no answer came back from the question he asked.

However, the boy didn't get mad, just sighed helplessly. 'What is this luck? Why did I get teamed with her? Well, whatever, at least she is strong enough to not make me worry.'

Thinking of his past partners, the boy couldn't help but reminisce. The girl beside her wasn't his original partner; there were many who came before her. But all of them are dead, and the reason for that is that they were weak.

No, they couldn't be called weak. Their opponents were too strong. For their deaths, the boy could only blame them or their arrogance.

This boy's name was Figo, and he was a rising superstar at Rank-Red. But for some reason, he would be assigned to newbies who were filled with arrogance. They were geniuses and new to the world, so they would try the most difficult Rank-Red missions to gain quick fame. However, all of that led to their own demise.

And who can blame Figo? He was a newbie, and newbies had to get paired with other newbies.

Thinking of all the past times where he escaped with a thread of life, he couldn't help but sigh with frustration. 'Who could have thought that the genius who would reach Rank-Yellow the fastest would be still stuck on Rank-Red? If only I had a good teammate and was able to get the resources to reach the next realm, then I could have escaped this hell.'

At this moment, his partner finally spoke to him. "We are here."

Figo halted and looked at the large cave to his right, hiding under the weirdly dense trees.
